In full swing of a shutdown. I'm lucky that I don't live paycheck to paycheck, but my greatest fear is losing my job. Sometimes, I feel like I wouldn't mind taking a detour in my career -try something different, take a break. But isn't the job market dismal now? Can I work in a cozy bookstore?

Apparently, there's a white supremacy group that's kind of exploded over the weekend by placing stickers everywhere. I'm encouraging anyone who sees one around town to take them down. Mostly in FAI but now over Southcentral

40 men were detailed by ICE somewhere in the L48 and transferred up here. If anyone knows how we can help, let me know. I can speak Spanish.

Had the creepiest old man hitting on me today. 🤮 I offered up my seat for him at an event a long time, so he sat next to two of my friends. He apparently remembered and said he was so excited to sit next to beautiful girls and I am such a beautiful girl. 🤮 🤮

That was all good and generous advice. The only one I cannot deal with is the uninvited guest. There are some people I just don't like and don't want to be in my personal space.

I'm on a new BC after years of avoiding it. Today, I had a sudden episode of pelvic pain, nausea, and chills. Then, about an hour afterwards or so, I passed what I think was a decidual cast. It was the BIGGEST blood clot, I'd ever seen.

Week 11 of no bullet email. Leadership assured us that since we have lost people, we would be adjusting so that as a whole we're not trying to do the same amount of work with less people, but I'm getting assigned tasks already that I have no idea how to do and was definitely above my pay grade.

I love my job and I do think the work that I do matters, but it's getting harder to put up with the bull crap. It's disruptive, corrupt, and disempowering.

My co-workers whom I share office space with, the only other people, in the building are getting consolidated under DOI. Memo says they'll stay in the same location and work will remain largely the same. But it could put them at a higher chance of getting RIFed & it's temporary. I'm sad about it.
