Had leftover donair meat and was watching Team Canada πŸ’πŸ₯…

1) 4 English muffin mini pizzas. 3 have yellow pepper, donair meat, and old white cheddar. The 1 in front is just donair meat, cheese, and pizza sauce.

2) Just the donair meat pizza cause its the most important one.

1) Brown rice ramen (Lotus Foods bought at Costco) with a poached egg on top and fresh green onion that I have growing.
2) Same as #1 but I broke open the egg to expose the runny yolk. Chopsticks in the bottom right corner

1) Cornbread made from Bob’s Redmill Glutenfree mix. Two slices are removed from the pan. The top is golden, the insides are buttery coloured
2) The corn bread was fairly bland so I smothered my slice of in a golden maple syrup πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦. The slice is on a white glossy plate

One of the things I miss the most is giant soft pretzels, so I made my own. Bit of a learning curve twisting them

1) raw pretzels on a baking sheet
3) baked pretzels fresh from the oven
3) single golden pretzel with flakey sea salt

I grow a lot of squashes to make soup all winter

1) roasted caramelized butternut squash, halved, seeds removed, stuffed with tomato and garlic on a baking sheet
2) perfectly smooth and creamy butternut squash soup in a white bowl

1) Onion soup bread also makes a nice soft bagel, 5 bagels, raw dough
2) Same bagels, baked and pules into a silicone bowl
3) Single onion bagel, sliced and toasted golden, ready for cream cheese and homemade jam

I haven’t tried Costco’s gluten free flours but I’ve seen them when walking through. Glad to know they are decent!

My in-laws brought me a package of King Arthur’s gluten free flour when they come to visit from the states. It was probably one of the best I’ve tried but it’s been a few years now.

We made a Chinese food-styled garlic and black bean sauce to toss ours in after it was cooked. I’m horrible at planning ahead for meals so it was a quick β€˜30minute meal’ type of recipe

(I have a tofu press cause we eat it pretty often)

The crispy tofu I’ve made before just required pressing the tofu, hand tearing it into popcorn chicken sized chunks, then tossing them in corn starch, drizzling them with oil, and airfrying (though we’ve panfried until crispy too)

Agreed that it’s a fav in our household, and we ❀️ meat here!

1&2) These GF double chocolate cookies are made with a glutenfree cakemix from Compliments (Sobeys Brand)
-I add 2 eggs and 1/2 cup of oil instead of following the instructions on the back. + 3 M&M’s on top

3) Chewy Oatmeal Cookies with 3 M&M’s on top made from scratch

Another lady is town with celiac that I run into, has a machine to make sourdough starter but tells me she keeps failing too. Does it need extra food? Or is it more about flour selection?

Oh you mean the toddler-sized, β€œinstantly falls apart”, has giant air holes, and is usually freezer burnt variety?

I hate that we have 5 different varieties of seeded bread that makes a giant mess and 1-2 cardboard tasting white breads and they all come frozen. πŸ˜‚

Gluten-free NS Molasses Brown Bread and rolls. I freeze excess to pull out when I crave bread.

1)Oone loaf pan of bread and one 8x8 pan of 9 dinner rolls prior to baking
2) The cooked dinner rolls sprinkled with flakey salt, one roll removed
3) The inside of the dinner roll: fluffy, still warm

I haven’t attempted sourdough, barely got a handle on molasses brown bread. The extra sugars help me with the dense gf flour.
