They're all so confused that people are actually capable of doing risk benefit analysis and deciding they want to do something else besides work themselves to death so their boss can become even more absurdly wealthy.

And nobody wants to do that if stupid money is off the table. This isn't the dotcom era. You're not going to be a billionaire by proxy. You're just going to get paid a wage (possibly below industry standard) and then shoved out an airlock the minute they need to cut costs.

Interestingly there's research that TW aren't great for helping people with triggers as they can increase avoidant behaviors which worsens the triggers. Also, it can prime people to make their triggers worse. If you're terrified of spiders "TW Spiders" before throwing a spider won't make it better.
