I cannot imagine any circumstance under which it is necessary β€” or even worth any media worker’s time β€” to write about what Bill Maher says about current events. He hasn’t been relevant in 20 years.

I can't get over this number: in 2007, there were 360,000 newspaper jobs. Now, there are 80,000. "My local paper sucked!" Sure. What sucks even more? The void. "I get all my news from the Guardian!" No, the Guardian doesn't report on your town council, your school board, local cops.

Talarico says love thy neighbor is the second of two commandments Jesus called on Christians to honor, the first being love God. There is nothing about his Christian faith that should be seen as alienating non-Christians.

This is important to say because lots of liberals ain't hearing it.

Here's the language from Trump's appeal of the District Court ruling on tariffs that said they'd pay back the plaintiffs, at least (they made this promise to get a stay back in May).

They caused themselves the headache they're about to face.

Trump’s Epic Loss on Tariffs Is Even Worse for Him than You Think The Supreme Court’s stunning invalidation of most of the president’s tariffs is another sign that Trumpist populist nationalism is in crisis.

The Supreme Court's remarkable ruling against tariffs is another sign that Trumpist nationalism is in crisis. Tariffs and deportations are key pillars of Trumpism. Both are major fiascos. Both have caused his approval to crater.

Trumpism is failing.

Third American death linked to ICE crackdown uncovered by Newsweek While the 23-year-old's death was reported in March 2025, it was not made clear that a federal agent fired the fatal shot.

For a whole year, DHS hid that they murdered Ruben, a young man in Texas, after a traffic stop.

Just like they did with Silverio, Renee, Keith, Alex, and Linda, they lied and avoided accountability. How many more people have to be executed before my colleagues realize that reforms are not enough?

Turns Out There Was Voter Fraud in Georgiaβ€”by Elon Musk The state board of elections found Musk’s PAC sent prefilled ballot applications.

The story that Elon Musk committed voter fraud has gotten next to no coverage -- one of those things you can't make come up on a Google search.

But I think it's time for Dems to go on offensive abt right wing coddling of this immigrant interfering in our elections.
