I've heard from people that knew @fetterman.senate.gov before he went to DC, and by all accounts he was a unique and beloved leader, with the best intentions.

However, these intentions were inadequate defense against a wicked political movement that would corrupt a mentally unwell man.

Millions are about to go hungry. We need to build power with them. It's time to feed each other and organize for power at the same time

This is how we win.

AI has become a powerful tool, and we support the right to use it in ways that preserve fairness.

We also have the natural right to NOT USE AI, and we support a federal mandate to protect all Americans from artificially generated materials.

This is hard to watch, such brutality today from the same party who spoke these beautiful words 35 years ago. Tomorrow we protest and march to declare that American has #NoKings!

With the nation ready to declare #NoKings on Saturday October 18th, the temporary order blocking federal troop use in Portland is set to expire on Sunday unless we hear from the court.
With Guard forces now under federal control, this situation may develop quickly.

Earlier tonight (Sunday), Judge Immergut issued a second temporary restraining order preventing the use of any federalized National Guard troops in Oregon - at least for now.

The temporary order was issued today by Judge Karin Immergut, blocking the federalization of the Oregon National Guard until at least October 18th. The battle isn't won in a day, but small victories are.

Oregon’s challenge to the federalization order is on a fast track. The federal response is due Thursday afternoon, with a hearing scheduled for Friday morning. The case should reinforce the obvious truth, that military force has no place on Portland’s streets.

Title 32 keeps the Guard under state control but sends the bill to Washington, pumping federal cash into one of the most corrupt state budgets in the country.

We founded Bright Green here in #Portland. With our city in the national spotlight, we stand for clarity and truth in politics, and against the idea that military force belongs on our streets. Our strength comes from people and ideas. #BrightGreen

Fairness is easier to demand than to define, and that confusion works to entrench the powerful, a cruel irony. Vague rules and shifting goalposts turn fairness into a privilege instead of a human right. With clarity and unity, we can rewrite the story.
