The wife picked up this sticker for my out in far western WNC yesterday. Possums are my favorite! And this sentiment gave me laugh for these strange times.

Some of these spots are vacation/second home areas, where locals are making lower wages amidst limited housing supply while outside money comes in. I live in Western NC and definitely see all that red!

Sorry to hear that, and there really should be better public education/awareness on water/sewer systems, they’re modern miracles! I say that as an Asheville, NC resident that had no running water for 18 days after Hurricane Helene, but with 1.5 gal. “gravity bucket flushes”, our WWTP never stopped!
