Aside from the monstrosity of the cause, my understanding is that the South didn’t really have the manpower to replace their losses and capitalize on some of their early successes and victories.

Ensuring negative consequences for lawbreakers and in so doing trying to entice the GOP to return to some sort of agreement on a shared constitutional order. What has happened is that one side is clinging to "norms" while the other side has decided to stop playing by the rules.

The GOP, including the partisan majority on SCOTUS, has written itself out of the constitutional order and the next Democratic President had better be willing and able to reign them in and if necessary ignore their rulings.

You could say the same thing about Liz Cheney. They both believe in a shared commitment to the constitutional order. Today's GOP has stopped "playing by the rules."

He sucked and yet compared to Trump he's an enlightened, sober Statesman and model of responsible governance.

What about Texas? Unlike other red and purple states, Dems have been shut out of statewide offices for 30 years.

As a life-long Texan I have mixed feelings about our national reputation. Kamala Harris got over twice as many raw votes in Texas as she did Washington State. The cities in Texas just aren't blue enough to overcome the North Korea margins the GOP runs up in rural areas.

I’ll support whoever wins the primary but I hope Allred has learned from his loss to Cruz. He ran a lackluster campaign and just didn’t seem to have any charisma or presence.

If Dems don't have a trifecta then they have to ignore SCOTUS rulings if it comes down to it.

Next Dem President needs to basically ignore SCOTUS if it's necessary to rebuild state capacity, prosecute Trump Admin officials and rebuild civil service. GOP isn't bound by the Constitution anymore and neither should we until they agree to follow the Constitutional rules again.

Put every last Trump Administration official in jail and do what you have to do to rebuild state capacity and the civil service. Ignore SCOTUS if necessary. They ignored the Constitution so we get to do the same until they agree to play by the rules again.

It is absolute dogshit and the very worst Star Wars in existence. I would put the Holiday Special, Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor ahead of it.
