We technically have multiple parties, but the only two that end up gaining traction are Republicans and Democrats. It's easier to work within.

Honestly, if Mamdani wins, and it looks like he is, this could be a monumental shift for the Democratic Party. Usually progressives only win in smaller districts, but as the mayor of New York City?

Maybe we can get a progressive governor of California.
