ted.
In this context I feel obliged to state once more that - like the hundreds of protesters arrested last weekend - I too support Palestine Action. If this makes me a "supporter of terror" un-
der UK law, so be it. My books, at least for now, are still published in Britain, and are widely available in bookshops and even supermarkets. In recent years the UK's state broadcaster has also televised two fine adaptations of my novels, and therefore regularly pays me residual fees. I want to be clear that I intend to use these pro-ceeds of my work, as well as my public platform generally, to go on support-ing Palestine Action and direct action against genocide in whatever way I can. If the British state considers this
"terrorism", then perhaps it should investigate the shady organisations that continue to promote my work and fund my activities, such as WH Smith
and the BBC.

Wow Sally Rooney. Fair play.

Graphic with a crinkled orange paper background. At the top right it says "Fundraiser Ally pack!". At the top left is a black sticker with white illustrative font that says "Trans People Have always been Here". There is a pink arrow pointing to this sticker from a blue box that says "1 sticker (designed by @EllieType!) 2 50mm stickers and a badge" with a pink arrow to a sticker with a trans flag background and purple text that says "trans ally". In the bottom left is a pink box that says "Plus a leaflet about Scottish Trans' work and a letter with some top tips on using your voice as an ally!". There are graphics of gold star stickers across the image.

Graphic with a purple background. It reads: "We are really shocked by today's Supreme Court decision- which reverses twenty years of understanding on how the law recognises trans men and women with Gender Recognition Certificates. The judgement seems to have totally missed what matters to trans people- - that we are able to live our lives, and be recognised, in line with who we truly are. We will continue working for a world in which trans people can get on with our lives with privacy, dignity and safety. That is something that we all deserve.". The Scottish Trans and Equality Network logos are in the bottom right.

Along with @lgbtiscotland.bsky.social, we've published our reaction to the judgement in the UK Supreme Court today.

There will be more we want to say to trans people directly once we have a chance to catch our breath.

Not to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?

Hello Bluesky! We're proud to be building a better future with refugees in Scotland.

Looking forward to sharing news, views and good vibes, joining the discussion around refugee rights, and standing in solidarity with people seeking safety.

#2: ‘Vermis I - Lost Dungeons and Forbidden Woods’ by Plastiboo, published by @hollowpress.bsky.social.
A fantastically rich yet cryptic story in the style of a vintage game manual. I can best describe the haunting illustrations as Goya’s Black Paintings crossed with a 1980s computer game

#1-3: The ‘Pocket Ghosts’ collection published by @galleybeggars.bsky.social
Featuring ‘The Signalman’ by Charles Dickens, ‘The Old Nurse’s Tale’ by Elizabeth Gaskell and ‘The Leaf-sweeper’ by Muriel Spark, this was a perfect bundle of short and sweet ghost stories for dark winter nights.

This is both an incredibly niche thing but I think it should be more of a thing. Caffè Nero subscribes to the British Newspaper Archive so it’s all free on their wifi. There. I said it.
