Many years ago in another life when I ran a bakery, we used to have family meals and our Korean staff scornfully referred to Japanese sushi as “dessert sushi”, and 10 years later when people mention dessert in any context a little voice in my brain still goes “hah. Dessert sushi. Haha”.
