We can disagree about policy. But we should never disagree about whether a child deserves to eat.

We literally do disagree about this, though. Some politicians want to take food from children and some politicians don't. Pretending this "isn't political" just allows the child-starving ghouls to get away with it.

Tell people who supports the *political program* to feed children and who doesn't!

by now you should notice that the side of evil in this country requires an electorate that is alone and afraid. if nothing else (and protests are *rarely* nothing else -- again, especially if you make them fun and social), visible evidence of solidarity with your neighbors is anti-authoritarian.

A lot of time and effort has gone into survey research around what is the best protest sign slogan, message, wording etc and to be frank the research is pretty clear the most effective things you can do at a protest are express joy and express camaraderie, don't overthink it

seems like a non-insignificant percentage of rage against the machine's fanbase are young republican men driving SUVs bopping their head to anti-oil, pro-immigrant songs thinking the lyrics are about how they wish their suburban parents would get off their back

Anyway, it's better quality education to have classmates from all over the world. I learned a lot from the international students I met as I pursued my higher education degrees. (I hope I returned the favor when I studied overseas.)

A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.

I recently received an automated email from my primary doctor's clinic, encouraging me to ask about GLP-1s (rather than buying shady ones online).

I replied that I wasn't interested in weight loss or GLP-1s, and the admin claimed that this has now been "noted on my file." 🙄
