Also, condolences. I went through that once when my kitty got projectile diarrhea as a kitten once. Yes, he had an infection. And yes, he was on meds. But… it took a while for them to work, lol.

Felt super fancy today so I whipped up some chicken risotto with mushrooms, asparagus and fresh chopped basil. Served in a little sleeping kitten bowl.

And then how do you get around once you arrive to said location? Public transit? Not every place has that. Rental cars/ride shares? Expensive, potentially unsafe (for women/LGBTQ) & time consuming.

Being in my own car means I’m in control at all times of the where/when.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

That one I will for sure as soon as I’m eligible. I have an uncle who has permanent & quite severe nerve pain for life now because of shingles. Not even a spinal block helped. It’s absolutely debilitated him. :/

Yeah, the scars are crazy. I always thought my mom’s was cool. But thinking of it now… dad never had a scar? And he was only 3 years younger than mom. I think the military still administers it though? Maybe @lethalityjane.bsky.social can confirm?

An do honestly don’t know if I ever got a measles vaccine when I was a kid. I know I never got the measles itself tho. But I DID get the chicken pox SUPER bad. Super duper bad. Before that vax came out.

I do love earl grey tea, though. Go figure. It’s legit one of my all-time faves. I even made earl grey tea cupcakes once, but they came out a little dry.

I asked my local pharmacist if my elderly mother needed an MMR since, y’know, elderly and immunocompromised.

They were like nah, she good from whatever infection she probably got as a child more than half a century ago. 🙃

Not allergic, but I one time made the mistake of buying an artisanal lavender flavored soda. Worst beverage ever. Like drinking bubbly bathroom cleaner.

Me, knowing I’m gonna be exhausted at work tomorrow morning, still refusing to get up to shower, but also not going to sleep because I haven’t showered yet. Tis a vicious cycle, I tell ya!
