Just sharing a few powerful, #inspirational #writing tips I've recently heard.
1. Voice: Be brave enough to be yourself. Try writing the way you speak!
2. Novels: Complicate your characters not your plot.
3. Characters: Ensure they have agency. Have them ACT in scenes.

It's true, but it's also hard to switch off the need to share, to succeed, to gain external validation. I wish I didn't care about those things too. 🥺

Yeah, on the complete & queried 3. After my 2nd (near-miss with agents), I got paranoid about writing the wrong story, so kept starting new ones. Now I'm 30 yrs down the line, know what I'm doing but no motivation to carry on. I just want an agent to champion me & I'll write whatever they want! Lol
