1/ General Vladimir Alexseyev, who was shot yesterday in a Moscow apartment building, may have been secretly visiting his mistress before the attack. Despite a reputation as an uncorrupt officer, he is said to have enjoyed the same luxurious lifestyle as many of his peers. ⬇️

I know this no longer means anything anymore but I just want to casually state the obvious fact that the Tulsi Gabbard "Hidden Treason" scandal few are talking about is easily much worse than Watergate

I mean who cares, but just worth tossing it out there casually

Just a friendly reminder that you’re not being β€œunreasonable” if you wish to pull a book from a bookshelf and find that it opens a secret door.

If anyone tells you otherwise, they were never your friend to begin with.

Home Office says nearly 60,000 people deported from UK or left voluntarily since 2024 election Shabana Mahmood insists deportations will rise, as Labour government is accused of promoting β€˜harmful stereotypes’ of migrants

I hope those who condemn Reform for their comments about "mass deportations" but continue to support Labour's inhumane treatment of migrants are paying attention.
Labour's policies are all about deportation and framing migrants as criminals. It only leads one way

Mamdani: "I speak of Renee Good, whose final words to the man who murdered her were, 'I'm not mad at you.' I speak of Alex Pretti who died as he lived, caring for the stranger. ICE shot him bc he did something they could never fathom ... let us offer a new path: one of defiance through compassion."

I am writing a new novel which reminded me people like to know how to write novels. This is my formula:
1 Come up with a good idea.
2 Work out a plot, what your character wants and their arc.
3 Research enough to write the 1st draft.
4 Start sketchy draft
5 Get to 30k. Realise there’s no point. Cry.

Bezos could retrieve something from the disaster of his ownership of the @washingtonpost.com by emulating the Scott family in 1932. Give the paper away and endow it with, say, $1.5 bn. And have an independent trust run it in the public interest.

Firmly worded, constitutionally significant letter to PM from the parliamentary intelligence committee: isc.independent.gov.uk/wp-content/u...

Spells out how it is for a parliamentary committee and *not* government to decide on what is in national interest.

Hello old friend. Is has been a while.

I can’t even begin to describe what it was like playing this game for the first time in 1996 following 15 years of playing games on a 2D plane. I think it’s nearly impossible to grasp how mind blowing it was unless you were there.

My two youngest kids are happily and loudly planning a base in No Man's Sky together. One is on the Xbox and the other is laying on a pile of Squishmallows and playing on the Steam Deck.

Video games are cool.

One for all my American and German followers. Today is Hedgehog Day - a very old German tradition celebrated on Candlemas Day (2 February). German immigrants to the US however needed a substitute as the Americas have no hedgehogs, so it became groundhogs. Happy Igel Day! πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺπŸ¦”πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Sir John Templeton once said that the four most dangerous words in the English language were 'this time it's different'.

He was wrong. The four most dangerous words in the English language are in fact 'give Peter another chance'.
