Another 3 sculpts for Burrows & Badgers - a Witch Hunter Hare, a Hillfolk Clanbeast Shrew, & an Illuminator-Sargeant Weasel.

Maybe they'll even get released before the end of the year! Probably not, given the way things are going... still, there's always Salute next April! ;)

My first attempt at a Maschinen Kreiger build. It's a Mk1 SAFS kit (Nitto series 4), with the addition of a couple of fake nails, and lots of putty!

Three more sculpts for Burrows & Badgers - these are Routiers, from General Alban deBrandt's Freebeast mercenary army. A hedgehog, and a couple of mice.
The hedgehog's inspired by a sketch Peter Johnston did (great illustrator - if you have a project needing art, hire him! :) )

It's a Nitto Mk1 SAFS kit, but with a fair bit of greenstuff work done to it, because I can't resist fiddling with things! :)

I think this one is done - I'll try and resist the urge to fiddle further!

Time Eagling did a big Burrows & Badgers seige game at Salute a couple of years back - it was awesome! :)

A tiny grot, which will one day be part of an Ork army. Assuming I ever actually open the other boxes...

Building a MaK SAFS... I've made a base, which TBH doesn't really add anything, so I'll probably lose that. And the pistol's not really working either... I'll see how it goes.

Insignia next, followed by the fun bit - weathering! :)

No idea, TBH - a lot depends on how fast I can get the rest sculpted, and when mouldmakers can fit us in their job queues...

Maybe a KS later this year, but it wouldn't surprise me if we don't manage to release anything until next April, so way things are going!

So you'll get slavers in pretty much every species. And equally, you'll get anti-slavery in every species, too.

Shrews don't enslave people. A particular individual is a slaver.
That's how it is in B&B; no species is evil. But individuals do stuff other individuals will find evil.
A mouse will find a wildcat eating them evil. To the wildcat, it's just part of the food chain.

Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion, of course. But I disagree wholeheartedly! Cuteness is not something that is a consideration when I'm writing or sculpting for B&B.

It's not set in any particular time period. It does the standard fantasy thing of taking from all over; there's 1st century stuff through to 19th century stuff.
It's not 'early medieval north of England with animals replacing humans'. It has it's own history, timeline and background.

Cheers! I'm not massively familiar with the Redwall series- I was already a teenager when the first one came out, so they're not something I've read much.
But it makes sense; I know they have a very defined good species/bad species thing, so I guess bad species have to do bad stuff! :)

Not as far as I'm aware, but then, Burrows & Badgers isn't Redwall - it's a totally different setting. It's much more 'Joe Abercrombie meets Wind-in-the-Willows', TBH.

There's no good/bad guys in B&B - just Allegiances, which represent the philosophical and political leanings of each group. And they all think they're the good guys! :)
