Pacetta arrived in Istanbul Airport on Saturday afternoon along with 136 other activists.

An Israeli prison guard deliberately slammed a metal door on the already broken leg of a 70-year-old Scottish woman who was abducted from the flotilla.

Torture.

I’m not a football fan, but I have to hand it to the Super Bowl for its forthcoming role in educating millions of Americans about the fact that Puerto Ricans are, actually, US citizens.

They are each 1,000 times more useful than Lord Glasman will ever be (or than I will, for that matter). His attacks on them are gobsmackingly snobbish and misanthropic. They reveal the real spirit of Blue Labour: a hatred of public sector workers and of the enabling state.
