i've been watching a youtube channel about 'mansions' that are not selling - mostly new ones. and they all are completely impersonal and most look like hotel lobbies.

most retail workers will tell you that for safety they are trained not to engage with shoplifters. it's incredibly easy to turn something into a weapon when threatened. but there's an old school eye for an eye idea that pervades.

a pet store staffer once declared my cat a 'garbage cat' with glee. boxes, crumpled bits of paper, any bit of fabric on the floor is his idea of a good time. he does like those mylar puffs, b/c of the noise. but the best thing ever is leaving a wire brush on the floor so he can rub his face on it.

if you eventually get to Ontario, i still recommend Goderich. Historical museum of everyday items and curiosities, historical jail museum and a salt mine (altho idk if you can tour that).

also where i last got food poisoning. maybe avoid any tuna fish sandwiches when in town.

it's thanksgiving weekend in canada. we enjoy a long weekend, harvest fare for those partaking and usually a lovely cool fall weather. Canada has its own unique stories of how Thanksgiving started here.
