And yet I would still bet you $50 that we don't do a proper rebuild and start trading draft picks for players within three years.

Protecting the environment is good for B.C.โ€™s economy | The Narwhal Job creation, tax revenue, small business support: why donโ€™t B.C. politicians value the economic benefits of environmental protection?

"The Great Bear Rainforest has been supporting 373 full-time jobs for 17 years, with no end in sight, while also protecting the environment."

Early investments in First Nations' economic development have netted $1.77 billion in gross economic output since 2008.

Not sure local economies / decision makers should be entrusted with protecting critical ecosystems. But then again, the provincial decision makers have been doing an awful job at it, so who knows....

It's supposed to be 15 here in Canmore today. 12 the next three days after that. Not a Chinook, either, just really warm weather.

@ctvnewscalgary.bsky.social imagine if Alberta actually rehabbed its orphaned grizzly bear cubs like BC does. Kind of makes sense given it's a threatened species, and then we wouldn't need to be talking about wild bears living a life in the zoo as if it's a good thing.

A few bull moose shots from my Jasper wildlife photography workshops. Sometimes you get lucky and find a nice bull right by/on the road, and other times you track them through the bush and find them in a gorgeous spot like the final photo crossing the creek.

I haven't seen Foote make a sound decision in a while related to building up the young players on the team. Time for him to go over the Olympic break.
