the goal of capitalists is ALWAYS privatization of public resources.
that goal may get messy with the christian nationalists and segregationists and crypto currency bros and the russians all interacting in the same space.
but for capitalists--it is *always* the privatization of public resources.

Look. Donald Trump's never BEEN on the streets of Washington DC. All he sees are a few homeless on the drive to his golf course. He's flexing his muscle and watching the reaction in practice for deploying fascist forces in other cities.

when they took over detroit--they called it 'detoilet.' and said we should be *grateful* for the takeover. donald trump is not even spouting the most racist garbage he could be to justify any of this. you should've heard the majority white suburbs of detroit/flint.

ICE contractor locked an immigrant and her baby at an OโHare hotel for five days
Valentina Galvis' detention at a hotel raises questions about the types of facilities being turned into de facto detention centers as the Trump administration ramps up immigration detention.
A Chicago woman went to immigration court. Her case was dismissed; she and her infant were taken by federal agents who turned her over to contractor MVM. They spent five days confined at the Sonesta O'Hare hotel without communication to the outside world.

In retaliation for the Republican assault on universities, the next Democratic president should make it a priority to go after tax-exempt religious organizations who engage in political activity. Bankrupt several of them with fines as an example to others who seek to follow.

Tweet about a robbery in Guadalajara
Every once in a while you get a glimpse of the obscene amount of money floating around in some corners of Mexico ๐ฒ๐ฝ. During my 8 yrs in Guadalajara I saw plenty of luxury cars & stores. But "wearing my $50,000 USD watch at the seafood restaurant" is a whole other level.

Am I understanding this correctly that the fiber installation can go flush up against manufactured wood? i.e. you don't need any additional barrier between the plywood and the hemp?
(In other words: Can I do this to a prefab shed from Home Depot? ๐)

It occurred to me while I was assembling bread dough that when I get annoyed at someone bleating "it's a culture problem," it's because I think it's a systems problem, and reducing it to a culture problem sets us up to blame individuals for how they interact with the system.

Everything they do is adversarial to democracy and decency and is brutal on purpose, because it's not really about any actual policy. Some of them want to be able to punish people; others are more focused on controlling institutions. In each case, every action is an attempt to keep and expand power.
