The Yamaha GX-1 was a headless (kinda?) electric guitar that looked like a Steinberger that had a couple extra triangles stuck to it and a vestigial headstock that gave you access to the truss rod. It's got two humbuckers, one volume and one tone control, a 3-way switch, and a locking trem. I posted the bass version (the BX-1) a while back, but I wasn't sure if they had made a guitar version until today.

The Ibanez Ergodyne EDA-900 bass (and its 5-string brother, the EDA-905) has a sculpted body with long, thin cutaway horns. There's a big pickup mounted in the middle position, right in line with the volume control. There's also a piezo pickup system in the bridge. Besides the aforementioned volume control for the magnetic pickup, there's also one for the piezo, an EQ for the magnetic pickup, and a treble boost/cut for the piezo.
