A strip club, a golf course, and the most Providence lawsuit ever - The Boston Globe Desire Gentlemen’s Club is suing Triggs Memorial Golf Course, the public course owned by the city of Providence.

Ok, so what you’re saying is Triggs should be closed, made mostly into an actual public park, with like 10% of the area made available for housing development.

For washers/dryers, it’s a good thing the all-in-one units are good now, so we can put those in accessible units instead of designing a laundry closet that is the size of a half bath.

At least we’re not Mass. Sometimes aff rental developments there will have four overlapping accessibility design guidelines: EOHLC, Fair Housing, UFAS, and MA’s bespoke accessibility code: 521 CMR.

Here in RI, aff rental units that are developed with LIHTC funding thru RI Housing need to have a minimum of six closets (coat, pantry, broom, linen, mech/util, and then one per bedroom). It’s a good thing they are generous with design waivers.

The further west you go across the country, the more important/powerful counties get. The county in IL I grew in has nearly a million residents and a $1B annual budget. All kinds of services are run through the county.

I have two of these (and love them!) and noticed immediately that they have an issue with holding water. A 1/16” hole drilled in the low point lets it drain freely

A long time ago, I was driving on a six-lane roadway and a massive funeral procession overtook me. I stopped at a red light, but they kept going, so I joined them because I was really afraid to be sitting there among moving traffic. I drove through like a dozen red lights. It was chaos.
