In the #SpringStatement today, the Chancellor could have set out the pro-equality, tax-reforming strategy required to make good on the government’s promise of change.

An enormous opportunity has just been squandered - and the right are the ones who will benefit.

Thanks for that, Roy. I haven’t been keeping up properly. I think I would try to let the work speak for itself. Which of course it does.

We need a free press It’s vital for democracy that we receive verifiable information that is not manipulated or controlled

β€ͺβ€œJust three companies, News Corp (Murdoch family), Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT, Viscount Rothermere) and Reach plc, control over 80% of daily newspaper circulation…”

The article was good but the story is so grim. There’s something about how the stuff that we love also produces all this triviality and darkness. And it’s something especially American, or so it seems.
