I don't get this whole "McSweeny masterminded Labour's election victory in 2024" . Labour LOST 560,335 votes from 2019 to 2024. You might say that McSweeny managed to target votes more efficiently, but I think it's more to do with the fact that the Tories LOST over 7 MILLION votes from 2019 to 2024

Yesterday, I attended a follow on course from the how to write a novel course I attended 6-7 years ago. Gonna try and finish writing my novel this year. It was also great just to meet new people. There were 12 of us all at different stages of writing their books.

Doing chores while I'm single. I was always the one who did the cleaning in the house so that hasn't changed. I am starting to actually like cooking for myself, so that's good. But changing the duvet cover on my own. Blimey, I don't know whether I'm an idiot but it takes me far too long to do it. 😕

I've only ever played it once (UK Games Expo a few years back) and had an absolute blast. I've run it several times (1st edition). The group I ran it for really enjoyed it. I enjoyed running it but wish there'd been better advice about icon rolls.

Earlier this year I started reading Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy. I vowed to finish reading them before the end of the year. I finished them about 10 minutes ago. Didn't think it would be such a close run thing. 🤣 Guess the cancer got in the way a bit.

Ooooooh. I got an e mail from royal mail saying I've got a parcel due to be delivered today. I couldn't figure out what it was. Must be this.

Decided to end my chemo treatment early. Risk from the side effects were out weighing the benefits at the moment.

At the hospital for another appointment. Only two places I've spent more time at this year, my house and work. 🙄

Just realised it is 2 years since I last saw my cats. I wonder if they would still remember me if they saw me 😕

It's really annoying that as soon I have a break from my chemo tablets, instead of relaxing, I end up cleaning the house as all the chores build up while I don't have any energy :(

Listening to Weezer's Blue Album and it is still as awesome as when I first listened to it 30 years ago.

Singing along to "I've got a Dungeon Masters Guide. I've got a 12 sided dice." feels a lot different in 2025 than 1995 🙂

Ooooooh OK. I misunderstood. I never ate in the novotel. I used to eat in one of the restaurants nearby (usually with friends) just to get a break.

The location of the venue is a plus for me as it is near enough to where my mum lives that I can go and stay with her. Appreciate that's not the case for everyone though 😂

That's good about the game rooms. It's horrible when the noise spills over between tables.

I like how in this day and age of unrelenting technology that the way we get on a bus is to stick your arm out to let the driver know you want them to pick you up.
