Heads up riders! The street I run on, Geary Boulevard, is undergoing surgery over the next two years to install new sewer and water pipes. During periods of construction, some bus stop locations will be temporarily relocated. Give yourself a few extra minutes when you notice construction!

Good news! SFPW is holding a hearing next Wednesday, July 24th about the installation of eight replacement shelters to make sure that 38/38R riders have a place to rest. You can send your support for shelters at bus stops by using this handy template letter:

I’ve been excited to run faster since I got my Geary Boulevard Improvement Project quick build “speed lift” last year, but my riders got left standing in the rain when some of my bus shelters disappeared. ☔️

Huge thanks to Anthony and his fellow SFMTA paint shop workers who did the paint work for the bus stop relocations between 1 and 6am yesterday morning! The new paint looks amazing and smells like...transit priority.

It was great to hear London Breed connect the approval of the Geary Boulevard Improvement Project to new housing on the Westside in her Transit Month speech today. We need a fast, reliable, and efficient transit system for all our neighbors, new and old!

YESSSS, the SFMTA Board has unanimously passed the Geary Boulevard Improvement Project, including the quick build for this year as recommended by staff. Transit lanes and safety improvements IN THE GROUND in 2023!

Although @SlowLakeStreet runs parallel to Geary, Friends of Slow Lake volunteers are unparalleled in their work rallying D1 neighbors in support of safer streets and infrastructure in the Richmond. We thank them for their support on Geary.
