Saw someone say, "End your friendships with people who are going about life like nothing is wrong." I will never understand people who think that further isolating ourselves from everyday people who don't get it is going to save us. It's not. Your judgment and disdain will not save us.

YouTube video by CBC News Is Trump right about the U.S. 'subsidizing' Canada? | About That

IMPORTANT: If you live in the United States or Canada, you’ve probably heard Trump‘s constant claim that the United States is “subsidizing” Canada. It’s wrong of course, but here’s the best explanation I’ve seen about how & why it’s wrong. PLEASE WATCH & SHARE IT A LOT. Kudos to Andrew Chang & CBC.

It would go a long way in addressing the climate crisis, the affordability crisis, the public health crisis, & the equity crisis.

It would improve traffic, save lives, reduce pollution & noise, improve livability & save public money.

Never let anyone tell you the solutions we need are too complex.

Reports on Ontario’s Homelessness Crisis, Water and Wastewater Utility Feasibility | AMO AMO released a comprehensive report titled “Municipalities Under Pressure: The Growing Human and Financial Cost of Ontario’s Homelessness Crisis”

The cost of solving chronic homelessness is the same as building Highway 413. People shouldn’t have to sleep on the streets so we can save 10 seconds on a commute. It’s time to put housing ahead of highways. #PeopleOverPavement

We'd have a whole lot more trees if the conservation movement ~50 years ago dedicated itself to stopping sprawl *and* creating the necessary conditions to build urban infill housing at scale. These people should chew on that.

Why 2023 was the year of the e-bike and not the self-driving car E-bikes and self-driving cars both entered the year with momentum. Only one maintained it.

In terms of mobility, e-bikes are selling faster & having bigger effects on emissions than EVs, much less self-driving EVs. And yet they get vastly, vastly less attention.
