I don’t know if I’m being overly maudlin this morning but it’s only the first week of August and everything feels very autumnal already.

This must be exhausting. I’m a stranger to you but I wanted to say how sorry I am that you’re going through this. I and many others are thinking of you and wishing that you’ll be home soon.

I always hate the start of the new academic year and miss my Scamps terribly. I never did understand the mentality of some parents eye rolling and breathing a big sigh of relief that the holidays were over. Hope your kids first day goes well.
