The RPG is finicky but not THAT finicky. I really don't understand this and that's coming from someone that personally runs that software for every radar site.

Sounds like the Radar Product Generator (RPG) at these sites suffered an anomaly which is highly unusual.

For those wondering why their favorite apps Super-Resolution data is still working, that's because it's generated from Level 2 data which is working fine. @radarscope.app and @allisonhouse.com both generate their own Super-Resolution data separate from the NWS' Level 3.

It's an NWS issue with Level 3, not specific to the radar sites.
KCYS is down. KFTG is not.

Another day, another AI-generated radar application where the developer needs my help because they didn't a) ask permission b) request documentation and c) know what in the world they were even doing. Bonus points to the "developer" for using AI to write the support ticket.

I'm all for innovation but when you come to me asking for my weather data for some AI-written slop and don't even know how to program, neither of us are going to have a good time.

Prolific smoke from the Canadian wildfires has dipped as far south as Florida this afternoon.

From the NWS (what @akrherz.bsky.social and I suspected):

Data dissemination problems have resumed. Radar data, obs and products (including WWA) are seeing frequent and lengthy delays.
NCF support are investigating the issue.

Network issues from within the National Weather Service.

Spoke too soon on the Level 3 radar. Not even real sure we've seen much of a resolution on the delays; they just cleared the queue and now things seem to be stacking up again. Ugh.

In some cases over an hour. Tornado Warning #9 from KCAE never even made it. Thousands of text products are missing despite the queue being cleared. NEXRAD Level 3 only just now returned reliably.
