One of the more interesting twitter fights I ever got into was when anti abortion laws were starting to ramp up, some folks who i don't know how well meaning they were, started posting herbal abortifacient recipes.

Decide where the children live, what they're going to eat, what they're going to do most of the day (school), etc. You can give kids some autonomy with some of this, especially when they're older, but at some point the adults just have to tell the kids that this is how their life goes right now.

This is even more ridiculous than designating Antifa a terrorist organization. At least there are organizations calling themselves Antifa (even though they're often unrelated and none of them are terrorists). There's not a single person who considers themself a member of any Cartel of the Suns.

I hope you're right. Senate Republicans showed us on 2021 February 13 that they'd let partisanship override defending their fellow Senators (and even themselves), but perhaps that was temporary.

That seems reasonable; GenAI really should be able to do better than what's in Tenor. I'm just salty because I keep seeing people use those Tenor GIFs and not editing the alt text. I'm not the target audience, but I'd rather have no alt text than BS alt text; it would save me a click.

Ha, sorry, I didn't even notice that it was an old thread.

In my experience (which is mostly seeing people post GIFs from the Tenor library here on Bluesky), it's not even a fairly accurate description. It usually knows if there's a man or a woman, and it can quote any text in a still image (or the first frame of an animation), but that's about it.
