There's a manga that I'm reading, and the last chapter that came out ended with a very important character getting seriously hurt. I'm literally anxious about reading the next chapter. I'm truly scared that they are dead. If they are then it's a critical emotional blow to the readers. :(

Is it possible? Transcending humanity, and evolving into a higher form?

No. It's a myth.

How come?

Human beings cannot transcend humanity, only set new limits for it.

Why?

If a housecat grows larger than any other, it doesn't become a tiger. It just becomes the largest housecat.

For me, it was probably Bram Stoker's Dracula. I was very young when I read it too.

It changed how I thought about writing, because up to that point books had been fun, epic or sad to me. For some reason, I had never imagined that horror could be effectively conveyed through writing alone.

Same here. I wasn't really a Bond fan before Craig, tbh. And Spectre somewhat killed what I liked about the Craig series. Never watched No Time To Die.

I'm thirty eight if we're just going by the calendar, but physically I'm an eighty year old. And mentally, I'm long dead.
