As I recall, the dogs had been groomed at the vet's 4 or 5 days before I had to take them back there for skunk baths. My Jeep, the stench. My God.

Our dogs both got skunked early one morning about 10 years ago. I was in the house with the door open when they ran in and Karma snowplowed her face all over the living room rug and sofas. My husband of course, was out of town and asked me if the smell would be gone by the time he got home. 🤬🤬🤬
