Our vet prescribed some gabapentin for her, saying it's remarkable for anxiety in cats. That's a new one on me. I've always thought of it for nerve pain in people. But the problem is they're capsules to be sprinkled on her food, and she isn't eating.

The strange thing is, she has avoided our bedroom her whole life because the dogs like to chase her out. But she did cling to me overnight for 2 weeks after my hip surgery which was unbearably sweet. We're going to catify the bedroom so that she sees it as a safe retreat. Second cat tree on order.

Update. Teddy Dawg jumped up on the bed not realizing the cat lump was there. Cat didn't budge. A level of detente seldom seen here.

That sounds worse than a standard cold. I sympathize, the cough and chest garbage is the worst.

We have to become feline behaviorists and sort this out before Christmas when we'll be having FOUR adults and FOUR boys ages 3 to 10 staying here. My heart is breaking for this little girl.

Cat lump. Molly has spent the last two days undercover because we have visiting family. She's peeing on the basement carpet where the grandkids are staying. She hasn't eaten or taken in water. She disappeared for 24 hours and then appeared in the bed next to my feet at 4 am. We're pretty worried.

I'm waiting for him to run naked on the White House lawn. Then we'll know his brain has fully rotted.
