Safety Advisory Collective Overview The Twitch Safety Advisory Collective was formed in May 2020 to enhance Twitch's approach to issues of trust and safety. It is currently composed of Twitch creators who have a deep understanding of Twitch, its content, and its community. The Collective shares feedback on a number of topics including: New policies and product updates Protecting the interests of marginalized groups Identifying emerging trends that could impact the Twitch experience SAC members are not Twitch employees. Participants are independent advisors who share voluntary feedback on safety topics and inform our safety approach. Members are not responsible for the development of Twitch’s products and policies, are not involved in moderation decisions, nor do they have access to any details on specific moderation cases. Much like all users, SAC members are subject to Twitch’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Twitch has renamed the Safety Advisory Council to the Safety Advisory Collective and redefined what it does.

It also outlines that they are unpaid "volunteers" for what was a previously paid role.
