We recently assembled and shipped a few @fieldkit.bsky.social underwater sensors for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. Each unit measures pH, conductivity, temperature, depth, and dissolved oxygen. They’re calibrated through the FieldKit.org app.

I really enjoyed that episode and have been following @fieldkit.bsky.social ever since. If you're ever looking for product help, I'd love to get involved (even pro bono) but live in Europe so would have to be remote

I was lucky enough to be a guest on @ologies.bsky.social six years ago to talk about conservation technology. A lot has changed in the years since but if you would like to listen to that podcast, here it is (also anywhere you listen to podcasts): www.alieward.com/ologies/cons...

I created a #StarterPack for folks who work with technology in conservation and ecology. This is not an exhaustive list so please let me know if I forgot anyone or if you would like to be included! I am excited for this community to grow here! @wildlabsnet.bsky.social

The most incredible part about Bluesky is all the conservation/ecology folks on here. I’ve missed that so much from the Science Twitter days and Threads/Mastadon just never filled that void.

Hi everyone, we are very excited to join @bsky.app with high hopes that the science community here can one day be like what it was on the old app. We love talking about making environmental sensing more open and accessible to anyone trying to understand and monitor our changing planet.
