What trade is best? Clearly the chip makers have all run in anticipation of this happening. Gold has cratered. Chinese stocks are catching a bid… it’s all lining up for a blow the lid off moment.

My hunch is we get access to rare earths, China buys beans (bean prices are already climbing in anticipation) and we go back to 10% rate.

With time running out, Trump needs to get some minor concession and agree to roll off the tariffs so that he can take credit for ending the trade war that he started.

I believe SCOTUS has already back channeled this info to Trump so he is aware of the clock ticking.

SCOTUS will soon strip Trump of his ability to unilaterally shot call a tariff rate. He will lose all power to bargain with China when that happens.
