Some businesses quietly do mitigations. E.g. a flu shot clinic also including an option for Covid boosters or HVAC maintenance or adding a few 'floating holidays' to PTO. These things have an effect but do not require directly acknowledging this.
Other places are completely oblivious or worse.

Every time I see pictures like this at infectious disease events, I wonder how there are no masks or other precautions visible.
The disconnect between what is studied and the everyday life of the people studying the same is as disappointing as it is enduring.
