Man I'm so goddamn sick of ai. "Wahhh you can't have a reasonable conversation about ai on here," yeah maybe be mad about the two year parade of scam artists and financial charlatans and environmental ruiners who have radicalized everyone against the spell check that agrees with you

Itโ€™s not possible to have a โ€œreasonableโ€ conversation about AI because the AI industry is by itself completely unreasonable. Its adherents all demand blind devotion and blanket acceptance of it, consequences like a destroyed biosphere and a flood of the worst bullshit youโ€™ve ever seen be damned

It's really instructive when you replace "Millennials" with "middle-aged adults" in headlines.

'"Middle-aged adults" are swimming in student debt and may never own homes.'

The picture that's emerging is one of absolute tragedy for the young victims, a teacher, the shooter and her family.

There are unresolved questions here about why/how the guns were returned and what mental health supports were available for a deeply troubled teen.

1) The vast majority of school and mass shooters in North America are overwhelmingly white men
2) Transgender people are far more frequently victims of violent crime
3) even if the inverse of 1) and 2) were true, nobody ever calls for the extermination of all white men after any other mass shooting.

11.02.2026 20:06 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 15    ๐Ÿ” 8    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 3    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

These fucking ghouls out here layering hate onto tragedy for their own disgusting political purposes.

The shooter's gender identity doesn't fucking matter. It only matters to sick fucks trying to exploit a mass tragedy to drive an agenda of hate that will kill more kids.

Monsters, all of them.

a bunch of people who work for AI companies and largely paid in vesting stock options are overwhelmed by the magnitude and depth of what they've created. everyone else is a curmudgeon or otherwise a confused hater. truly this is an irreconcilable intellectual dilemma.

These are not smart people.

1) Independence makes you *more* dependent on federal policy, since they get to decide whether or not you can access TMX. Forget about ever building another pipeline west.

2) You need the goods (food, etc.) that cross "our land". Blocking their passage is self-injury.

One the right is a black dog and above it says โ€œLinkedInโ€. Below it says,

Proud to announce that I effectively executed a rapid-response squirrel displacement strategy to mitigate potential yard intrusions.

Humbled by the unwavering support of my family and local stakeholders.

This experience reinforced the importance of vigilance, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Looking forward to scaling this impact in future engagements.

"AI is built on the collective knowledge of humankind."

No. Nononononono. It is not built on _knowledge_, it it built on _data_. And not everyone's experiences are available as data, many communities are excluded.

Trump says Gordie Howe bridge won't open without Canadian concessions Canada has footed the entire cost of the $5.7-billion Gordie Howe bridge construction project, aiming to recover costs through toll collections.

Another reminder that no nation should make any deal with Trumpโ€™s United States. None. You canโ€™t make any deal with a corrupt crook that will break every deal. Simple as that.

At least 10 people were injured between late 2021 and November 2025, according to the reports. Most allegedly involved errors in which the TruDi Navigation System misinformed surgeons about the location of their instruments while they were using them inside patientsโ€™ heads during operations.

Cerebrospinal fluid reportedly leaked from one patientโ€™s nose. In another reported case, a surgeon mistakenly punctured the base of a patientโ€™s skull. In two other cases, patients each allegedly suffered strokes after a major artery was accidentally injured.

In May 2023, Dean was using TruDi in another sinuplasty operation when patient Donna Fernihoughโ€™s carotid artery allegedly โ€œblew.โ€ Blood โ€œwas spraying all overโ€ โ€“ even landing on an Acclarent representative who was observing the surgery, according to a lawsuit Fernihough filed in U.S. District Court in Fort Worth against Acclarent and several manufacturers. One of Fernihoughโ€™s carotid arteries was damaged. She suffered a stroke the day of the surgery, according to her suit.

Acclarent โ€œknew or should have known that the purported artificial intelligence caused or exacerbated the tendency of the integrated navigation system product to be inconsistent, inaccurate, and unreliable,โ€ the suit alleges.

The FDA requires clinical trials for new drugs, but medical devices face different screening. Most AI-enabled devices coming to market arenโ€™t required to be tested on patients, according to FDA rules. Instead, makers satisfy FDA rules by citing previously authorized devices that had no AI-related capabilities, says Dr. Alexander Everhart, an instructor at Washington Universityโ€™s medical school in St. Louis and an expert on medical device regulation.
