Despite potentially having marker refill issues (brainstormed solutions and work arounds with the husband) I did get a page of ch. 3 colored and I think it's got a great look to it. Looks just like an old Disney animation storyboard!

That's because it's dynamic as heeeeeeelllllllll

Was getting to color some pages (at last!) before work today, and I really like the way they're coming together!

I've run into an extremely dumb problem, though.

See that lovely light purple color? I need refills and I can't get them because of the fucking tariffs (the company is German).

I have to draw a LOT of stampeding Perch for this scene.

And, yes, I'm in a "fishing furs" group (despite the fact that i really don't think I qualify as a furry and arguably never really have).

Possibly the greatest compliment I've ever been paid.

Making more walnut ink today.

The plan is to make as many pots of it as I can, then combine it all together and reduce it as much as possible to see just how dark I can get it.

They're EXTREMELY attracted to my window plants (I grow flowers now), so I end up seeing them a lot and smelling them sometimes.

They can squeeze through just about anything, too.

Despite being called "Stink Bugs" the scent they give off mostly smells like Cilantro.

Waiting on some printer ink ("attempted delivery" my ass) so that I can't print my chapters 2&3 linework.

While I'm waiting, I've started penciling ch. 4, which features one of my favorite sequences: The Fish Stampede!

What a perfectly handsome fella (The character? MP Officer Frostvellr of the Four Wards Army, who will be introduced in ch. 2 of "Vampire Hunter Alone").

There's a note to flip the first panel horizontally after it's scanned; this is because I don't want all the characters yelling in the same direction (boring), and I want it to look more like the one group of characters is yelling at Miss Kyra (because they are).

A scene where everyone is yelling (my favorite kind of scene to write).

4 pages to go, and then the linework for this chapter will be done.

Finally.

"Happywashing" is *very* annoying. Some things are just bad! No sense pretending otherwise.

People build careers, push legislation, and give orders with words all the time!

Can an uttered sentence take away someone else's ability to make good choices? I don't think so.

Simultaneously: people say things for a reason, it's not nothing!

That being said: I fully support anyone pursuing illiteracy.

The conversation about "Media Literacy" is incredibly annoying Word Games garbage for Professional Opinion Havers, but also...

... it is going pretty bad.

Finished a page before bed, clooooooosing in...

My hands are all sooty looking because I hulled a bunch of black walnuts with the wrong kind of gloves. I didn't have rubber gloves and figured gardening gloves would do.

I was wrong.

Would be the most painful arrest of my career as a fake-lawman.

Got another entire Itoya Profolio's worth of inked pages finished (50) for "Vampire Hunter Alone", so I made a little video talking about what goes on in the chapter while I flip through the binder. Check it out!
