Looks like GDScript is back on the menu, boys.
That "local to scene" malarkey is among the worst design/UX flaws in Godot.

Colony was an exceptionally promising show. Idiots have cancelled it. The first 3 seasons are still worth watching because of the setting and characters with so much potential. I wonder if AI can finish it one day.

Your words are pure blasphemy, the ramblings of a madman! Repent, while it's not too late. (But it's too late.)
My pet theory is that Earth is under siege by space aliens, who use psy-ops to stupidify humankind before their invasion fleet arrives. Divided stupids are easier to deal with.
The guy who makes these Star Trek parodies is a genius. A random pick, because all are awesome:

I came to say exactly this. Exclusive Fullscreen doesn't have this 1px border issue.

What's your dream job?
This problem has been studied in the past, and a solution was proposed: theoatmeal.com/comics/movie...

24.07.2025 21:06 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The desire to periodically remind peons who's boss goes way beyond (or deeper than) economic structures.
24.07.2025 14:43 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Your mention of "capitalist entity" implies you see the power to decide what counts as art as a capitalist trait. I pointed out that socialist governments engaged in the same kind of gatekeeping. So when tracing the problem, you need to dig deeper to find the real source of control.

Steam Wallet has been available since 2010.
I assume the religious zealotry is also just a facade. Peons are periodically reminded that they are not in charge.
24.07.2025 08:21 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0If you suspect that all purchases are under the scrutiny of a higher power that has agenda beyond "supply & demand," stores would have to exclusively work with crypto.
24.07.2025 08:09 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0If Steam & Itch and other online stores want to sell NSFW content, they could accept payments as store credit and sidestep processor drama. Why the need for crypto? What's wrong with store credit?
24.07.2025 07:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Rest assured, socialist governments also arbitrated what's art and what is not. Back in those days you could only get published (release a recording of your music, for example), if the almighty record company deemed you worthy.
This is not inherent to capitalism, it's about power.
I'm sure this is an excellent presentation, but I really wish for a version that doesn't have this super-annoying and distracting "gremlins constantly type something" in the background: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo84...
Has nobody checked the video before uploading?
Like the famous Lovecraft quote, it's merciful to have a certain myopia in one's ethics. Otherwise we couldn't even use digital tools (phones, computers or electric vehicles) as they rely on materials mined under conditions of child labor, such as cobalt and lithium from mines in Congo.
21.07.2025 18:32 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Why doesn't Steam include an "Asset-Flip by Tutorial Confession" section alongside its "AI-Generated Content Disclosure"?
People complain about low-quality AI content. But where's the same outrage for half-baked asset flips?
Random story trope that annoys me every time: Swearing a blood vow by cutting your own palm with a blade. WTF?! That's one of the worst places to have a small cut.
19.07.2025 21:34 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I was only able to figure out the root cause by enabling "Visible Navigation" in Godot's "Debug" main menu, and that's how I spotted that the regions were placed on top of each other initially. Godot has a million features which can be mind-boggingly helpful -- if one knows about them.
18.07.2025 18:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0In my particular case it's 3D, but I also think the general logic applies everywhere.
18.07.2025 16:51 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0TIL: when instantiating a #GodotEngine node that has a NavigationRegion, the node's position must be set immediately. Otherwise, the NavigationServer panics as it merges the (temporarily) overlapping regions. It'd still work, but I religiously reject errors and warnings, so I *had* to fix it.
18.07.2025 16:32 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The orange colored warning message is still visible, and since it's Friday, I wouldn't rule out that Valve waits until next Monday.
