Karen, Chad, babes: It’s a play on words. A deformation of “How very droll”. That I need to explain this really bums me out. I’m not a troll. I don’t farm rage. I curate it. Exquisitely.

Call it naïveté. Or hope. Probably a bit of both.
Whenever celebrities endorse and promote the right thing, I get worried.
Because lately, we've been losing. Like, all the time. Maybe we should start lying more. About everything. All the time. Seems to be working well for the other camp.
So I'm guessing you too must consider Akiko Iwasaki a hack. Even as she is actually trying to advance the field instead of shout down anything that goes against received dogma.

You know if your ego didn't get in the way so much, you might actually manage to get your point across better. You've converted me, at least partially. For which I thank you.
Oy vey. You clearly don't work in a UHC. The spike isn't in labs, it's in emergency departments. Cases that were extremely rare pre-2020 have become alarmingly common.
I agree that we can't explain it immunologically. Doesn't mean it isn't happening. Dogma is not your friend, friend.
I’m sick to death of the bad science too—it’s in 95% of papers I review. But I think we can agree that there hasn’t been an excess of caution re: SARS CoV-2. I see the hyperbole as a response to public health apathy. Something’s up and it doesn’t look good. Veldhoen’s take is this is normal—it’s not

Sad day for the folks who staked their reputations on lab leak conspiracy theories.

• Trump still has a 40% approval rating—Obama was at 42% at this point in his second mandate
• Every branch of gvt is compromised
"The movement" is not moving—it's playing by rules that the enemy does not follow
You are losing and our collective future can't afford that.
And it won't make a lick of difference. Any more than the other marches did. Unless the pressure builds, nightly, it's little more than virtue signaling, because it will be — as it has been — ignored. #NoKings
There are ways to do this.
This ain't it.
When will you all learn: One and done does not work. It has to be nightly pressure, or it will be ignored, as it has been. #NoKings

WHO KNEW that with JUST ONE FOLLOWER I'd already be making rent!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!
(The fact that I may or may not live in a box under a bridge is none of your concern. Rent is paid in full. Thank you, Bluesky)

15.10.2025 14:53 — 👍 0 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0I love it even more when it's a car running over my child because it was speeding through a residential neighborhood.
"There were 7,314 pedestrians and 1,155 bicyclists killed (68,000 pedestrians & 49,000 bicyclists injured) by motor vehicles in the US in 2023."
How many killed by cyclists? Guess.
They vs Us? Really? I own two cars, one bike. Traffic has doubled on the same infrastructure. Air and noise pollution are issues as much as safety. I’m an advocate for active transit infrastructure because it’s more efficient, makes cities greener, friendlier, cleaner w/less congestion. It works.

We both know where this is going and we're going to run out of character count before long.
There is only one way out: small talk.
Said every anti-bike motorist ever.
The more the infrastructure makes sense (timed lights, physically separated, unidirectional bike lanes), the less chaos there will be. Look to Paris, Copenhagen or closer to your home, Montréal. The chaos is due to bad (car-centric) design's inherent danger.
