The National Park Service fired many of its park rangers as part of a reduction in the federal work force. Some rangers decided it was worth the risk to speak out online about the cuts and share their love of the Park Service.

It is tough to do sea lamprey control in the US waters of the Great Lakes when front line control agents are fired. Just one of the consequences associated with random terminations of environmental professionals in the US.
