Yeah, I know Mills came in at a similar time and with similar optimism to Alabi who has kicked on nicely with the U18s this season and got his first U21s minutes last week. Mills seemed a bit of a star in the early rounds of Youth Cup last season.

Always appreciate your articles as I feel there is lack of reporting on the U21s. Do you know if Salia and Michael Mills are currently out with injury? Seem like two players who would add a lot to the u18 and u21 sides.

Park and Neave the clear standout players and both look like they could develop into first team players with us.

Pivas, Heffernan and McArthur all look like they will play at a decent standard.

Beyond that, I think more recruitment is needed to build a competitive U21 team.

Five minutes for Alabi, who I've been waiting to see. The young midfielder has trained with the first team and been productive for U18s this season, as well as in captaining England U17s last international break.

Pivas given the last 10 minutes off, Mccarthur shuffling into CB. Pivas looked pretty solid which you'd expect given his senior experience before signing.

Neave really looks a natural goalscorer as well as an impressive all-round forward. Looks very controlled when carrying forward against the last defender to get into a shooting position and he's comfortable dropping deep, looking to turn and dribble or win a foul. Good career ahead of him #nufc

Neave almost got a fourth with an audacious lob from wide of the box. Playing with confidence is an understatement for a player who stands out in every u21s game I watch.

Park has impressed since his assist with more tricky dribbling.

Beautiful finish for Neave's first half hat trick. Twinkle toes from Park deep on the left drew defenders and created the huge space for Neave to run into and score with aplomb

Interesting to hear in commentary that Boston have comfortably beaten other U21 sides this season. Our U21s finding it pretty plain sailing to this point. Some difficulty from set pieces in blustery conditions, but defenders Pivas, Heffernan and Mcarthur on-top from long balls in open play.

Most confident U21s performance I've seen so far from Park. Some exciting, mazy dribbling from deep and very direct when he has the fullback 1v1

Lovely finish from Neave on the counter to make it 2 nil. Carried forward nicely in midfield by Bailey and as soon as Neave had it 40 yards from goal he looked like he would take it forward and score.

Good work from Pivas to carry forward and play the through ball that almost made a chance for Wooster

Such a clear increase in the intensity of 2nd half and it's a comfortable win in the end. Woltemade on fire. Bruno and Tonali incredible second half. Burn and Trippier a little vulnerable defensively at times, but Botman and Thiaw looks a great partnership already. Happy international break #NUFC

I'd be interested to know which clubs have improved, because I don't see any other than Spurs (who are definitely an additional competitor for CL this season) and Liverpool and Arsenal who are realistically beyond us. Palace and Bournemouth maybe, but then Villa and Forest have regressed.

Mostly agree, but wouldn't go as far as "it's not working at all" due to the small sample size. Beat Wolves and then you're looking at an away game with back 5 and Arsenal who are a top side. Poor individual performances from the wide players in these games, especially Murphy and Willock.

I was more concerned this time last season when Isak and Gordon were sulking and it felt like without them in form we were 7th-10th quality. The turnaround last year gives confidence we'll improve again but it's hard to judge what our ceiling is for a season with Woltemade instead of Isak.
