Agree but would be nice to start a season in full flow for once. I get there are circumstances we can't control but next season there should be no excuses.

Agree. It's what we've missed in the past. But we still need to find a rhythm. Think we've done well in that past when we had a fixed starting 11. Now with the rotation and injuries we've lost some of that.

Still don't think Howe has figured out what to do with Elanga. Woltemade looks good but wrong for these types of games. Gordon isn't looking like he's adjusting to playing different roles. Thought Thaiw and Botman looked good.

It's the kind of squad rotation we haven't been able to do for years. But we do need to be able to rotate and get results. But a draw is a good start

Miley does fine in that linking play but we still need him to be more dynamic at times. He's got it in him. We've seen his bursts into the boxes or shots from distance. Just needs to add that to his game more

I'm looking at this as the start of our proper squad rotation which we've never been able to do. We need to be able to rotate and win if we're to move to the next level. However, this team doesn't quite look strong enough

Howey had over 160 appearances and was pretty much first choice between 94 to 96.

Watson was very much the utility man. Think on Champ Manager he was a defensive midfielder right, left and centre. 🤣

Going with personal fav Steve Howey, but think Venison and Colcocini in with a shout.

Think Bruno more important to the team as a leader. Tonali more important as a player.

Or, we could potentially find a replacement for Tonali but we could never find another Bruno

Be interested to see how big Nick plays with Elanga and Gordon on the wings, as if he's dropping back to collect the ball makes sense to have our fast wingers overlapping.
