Students will soon be allowed to play on former Hamilton high school's sprawling lawn, unused for 7 years | CBC News For the first time since 2019, kids will be allowed to use the sprawling lawn at the former Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School in the middle of downtown Hamilton.

Kudos @cameronkroetsch.bsky.social for real leadership. Hess Street Elementary school is one of the lower resourced in #hamont . I volunteered to tutor kids in the 1980s. No renovations since. Giving them access to SJAM green space is the right thing to do! www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Last week's #HamOnt fatality, at Jackson Sq parking lot, has been tossed down the our πŸš—πŸ§  memory hole.
We'll likely never hear about it again, but I have to wonder if the sidewalk, reduced from 9 metre to 3m for a 30m off-ramp, designed to never slow motorists' "green wave" experience, was a factor?

If walking costs you $1, we all pay $0.01. If biking costs you $1, we all pay $0.08. If bussing costs you $1, we all pay $1.50. If driving costs you $1, we all pay $9.20. Via @thediscourse study.

There’s no evidence that vaccines cause autism.

You know what there IS evidence of, when it comes to causal factors for autism?

Air pollution.

So cars. Including tail pipes, tire particles, brake pads.

And fossil fuel energy-related pollution, industrial pollution, etc.

And not just autism.
