I wish you were right...but here in Vermont, you can follow the thread and they are pretty much all real people. (Sadly, I have done this a small amt. in the hopes that they were fake, but no.) Very disheartening. But as the saying goes, this is who we are (well, about 1/3rd at least).

well, it isn't the best world for a pure EV, which is 300+mi/charge these days. I understand this was different in 2019 (and get your point!), the technology is improving dramatically year-to-year. we are at the place where it is time to go pure EV (my opinion). thus my agreement with Dr.V here!

ya it is the worst of both worlds...low range EV, and still all of the moving parts + lubricants/fluids + exhaust system + (etc.) of an ICE car.

The real answer to this question is that the business-aligned political right saw the pandemic as damaging to their political and economic agenda and came to embrace anti-science.
