Francis’ list of sensory hell

Grief as pottery stretch me thin, before i break in your hands and you have to scrape me up & start over the clay melts into your hands, the winkles, the dry cracks, becoming your skin, hard and brittle, flaking dust to dust, I squeeze you in my hands, chunks spew, sticking to the spiral, flailing, spinning around and around, dizzying, and you can’t stop it you stare and stare until the blur looks like a face then start over again, it should look like something this time, some kind of form one can recognize a shape, maybe functional, not just a mound of dirt waiting to be born you try again

Again I am okay.. this is just a practice sonnet for something I'm running

For additional gender information, Francis later identifies as unlabeled, which just means he is what he is.
But, for my purposes, he is gender nonconforming, femboy-ish, and omni-romantic/demi-ace. These things are discovered over the course of the story.

Here’s an idea of what Francis looks like. I describe him always as having ebony hair and ivory skin, alluding to his love for piano. He’s Japanese-American & has gentle icy blue eyes a color of which I cannot describe.
He’s been with me since 2010, but the recent Miyamura looks eerily similar lol

OSS is a very special series to me because of Francis and also because of my love for music. I have loved music since I was a kid, and I play violin and have been practicing voice lately, too. Music has helped me stay sane and cope for my whole life. It’s also a series where I did tons of research!

In reality outside of the book series, Francis is one of my alters, and someone who taught me self-love and that I was worthy of love and care when I was raised to believe I was a curse and unable to be loved. So, he helped me a lot and thusly means everything to me. He helps me with my feelings too

Francis wants to go to the music university for Claire’s last wish, but he finds himself struggling a lot, despite being labeled as a prodigy and a savant. He doesn’t get music theory and struggles writing papers. He’s also brain fogged from grief & depression (based onmy own experiences in college)

He begins the story of OSS wracked with grief from the loss of his first love, Claire, who saved him from his sad life of being a scientific guinea pig and taught him music and showed him many things he never knew about due to his very sheltered upbringing.

He is medium-support needs autistic and has a secret savant ability that gives him instant muscle memory when it comes to playing piano music. He is also an empath and uses this ability to try to understand the people around him, as he doesn’t understand phrases, intonation, and body language.
