Bernie ran a shockingly negative primary campaign. It was commented on at the time, repeatedly. It was inappropriately nasty for a primary, because it makes it harder to win the general.

Berners literally went Jan 6 at the convention - tried to stop the nomination.

I genuinely believe that Gore would have been a much better president than he was a candidate (he was TERRIBLE as a candidate). I think if we had seen him in office, we’d have reelected him as an incumbent over W.

Who knows what would have happened next, but, that’s my personal belief.

The Democratic Party is an organization that Bernie was NOT a member of. Literally every organization in the world has electoral bylaws to ensure that members of their organization win elections in their organization. That’s not cheating. Bernie just lost.

Finally, RBG was so convinced HRC would win that she held on. She wanted the first woman President to nominate her successor, so, she didn’t retire under Obama when the seat was protected. Instead, she died under Trump.

And Gore ran the worst campaign ever. He lost his home state of Tennessee and Clinton’s home state of Arkansas. If he wins either one, Florida doesn’t matter, and it never goes to SCOTUS.

I think you gotta put Clinton’s refusal to step down, in there. He had sex with an INTERN, in her early 20s. We collectively treated it like it was a personal indiscretion. It was more than that and worse than that.

If Gore takes over as POTUS, he probably wins vs Bush in the following election.

I disagree. I think what got us here was the Far Left being manipulated into becoming single-issue voters at key electoral moments, and making Dem presidential candidates fight two-front campaigns.

Berners said they were gonna stay home, they stayed home, we got Trump, and lost SCOTUS.

We let 9/11 spawn a domestic surveillance and police state which is now actively undermining our democracy, while our leaders do billion dollar deals with the country who funded the attack and where every terrorist was from.
