Patriot until he can make more money elsewhere, like most of them.

The performance last Monday didn't lack any character

The PFA would automatically protect the interests of the player.

I'd loan him to a Saudi club for £50m loan fee then sell him for £100m to Bayern next summer. Ideally the Saudi club club Ivan Toney is at and swap him for a year.

Hmm that's not the full story tho is it. Thought you were better than this.

Chronicle on the ball as usual, he's going to Derby on loan.

I agree, what he has built up is impressive even if I don't agree with the monetising element but football long lost any moral high ground so why not get what he can from it.

Super agents have the clout to pay for this type of media coverage. Clubs pay agents, agents pay media contacts. All it does is increase costs for clubs who pass it onto the match going fans, who lap up social media content.

Burn mentioned pattern 7 I think, can only imagine how many patterns Pep has.

I listened to a podcast with him last year (may have been Linekers) he said he has a "team" working for him who keep on top of all social media interactions. My immediate reaction was that's a professional setup, then, how does he pay for that? Think we all know how now.

This is the thing, London yes I get it if you're a superstar, less so if you're not. Outside of London there's no difference between major cities, anyone using that argument is generally from London or prejudiced against other areas.

It's a nonsense argument he's using. As if world class players have better craic than slightly less good players and world class players only want to hang around with other world class players.

Most of the NUFC players live within a couple of streets of each other, kids go to the same schools etc. What you're alluding to is that City, Man U, LFC and EFC players all hang with each other. Nonsense.

Do you think there's still a route for Isak to stay if we're insistent on £150m and LFC can't/don't want to pay that much?

02.08.2025 10:06 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 2    📌 0

Intermediaries thinking there was a deal to be done and money to be made. Isak has either been badly advised or is part of an elaborate strategy to get him on the cheap. Let's see what PIF are made from.

I could see that happening £120m + Elliot. Hopefully I'm wrong and Isak stays but too far down the line I think.

As long as it's not Pope kicking the can, we'll never see it again.

A lot of PIF's money invests in established well run businesses. Building something from the ground up seems like a new challenge to them that they can't fix by throwing more money at it. At present I'd settle for mediocre, that's the next level they need to move up to.

All of this proves the importance of a first class DoF and empowered CEO. At present this is all at Eddie's door when he should be preparing the squad for the season ahead. Absolute failure on PIF's behalf.

It's easy to claim PSR is holding us back, and it is, but its clear PIF can't, or don't want to, put a cohesive long term strategy in place with experienced management who know what they're doing.

If we can't get any of our first choice targets to come to us for either wages/the project/the club/that should tell us everything about why Isak wants away. The club have a major task on their hands stopping the whole thing from unravelling. #NUFC

Hasn't he just signed a new contract?

Football doesn't operate like a normal business, it's clear that the best run clubs have experienced operators in charge who know how it works. I thought Eales would be that man but either he isn't empowered or is weak. The right CEO appointment, with authority to act, is now more key than ever.

There should also be a judge led inquiry into Luke Edwards sources.

Yes good read and as always for an "outsider", Henry gets it. It actually shouldn't be too difficult for the club to implement the strategy Henry outlines but there's a void at the top.
