Fair. I do also think grabbing one pack of noodles instead of candy at a house doesn’t mean they don’t get candy. Most houses will only have candy and kids can get a ton of it. Noodles on Halloween isn’t solving anything that’s for sure, I just don’t see it as a big negative either.

Performative anything is really icky. That said, having options to select from, and one of them being “food” could be a good thing. As a pat me on the back, no. As a take this for lunch next week or have a snack or crunchy ramen noodles as you walk maybe.

Kids will take what they want from the options. Easy. Have more than one choice and call it done.

I don’t think people leave their dog tied up in the yard much either? Reality is that most of your examples are dogs who clearly require training and shouldn’t be left outside without supervision if this is how they behave. Bad owners all over sadly.

Interesting. They aren’t super common where I live but a neighbour has one for their backyard which has rough terrain and would be hard to fence. Dog totally content. People don’t let dogs out front here really ever.

Sadly I think you are wrong and it is this kind of thinking that got him elected. There are tons of MAGA and Trump fans everywhere. They are sneaky and not always loud but they vote and they will again for whoever the next propped up to of racist white guy the republicans select is.

A little over two weeks ago I deleted X. It was a time suck, an energy sapper and so full of misinformation and disgusting comments. Happy to report its freed up my day substantially and I don’t miss it at all.
