It’s nice to see the Jack Kirby quote from the end of THE FANTASTIC 4: FIRST STEPS generating so many reactions. I wish that Marvel Studios keeps that going as Phase VI continues.

Heck, put something like that, a formal epigraph, at the beginning of AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY — maybe a Jim Shooter quote?

Within the next few years, there’s gonna be a day where a new DCU movie trailer comes out, and it shows a bunch of cool stuff, but the keywords that break the internet will be “giant penny” and “dinosaur.”

I love recap pages in comic books. I loved the opening… well, not “scroll”… in SUPERMAN. I would love to see more comic book movies adopt this approach. It could be particularly useful for characters like Doctor Strange, who appeared in four other films between his 1st appearance and his 2nd movie.

When you love a moment in a trailer, and then the scene involving that moment from the trailer is *even better* in the context of the finished film? Bliss.

Music streaming apps have made it possible to instantly summon the *one* song that perfectly suits the moment.

But they also enable people with “control of the aux” to cycle through 90 seconds of five songs in a row without committing to any one full track.

Last night, I went to my first ever Wu-Tang Clan show, and everytime I started really vibing, I thought “I feel like Brian Altano.” 👐

I would 100% watch a “Mr. Terrific” series starring Edi Gathegi set in James Gunn’s new DCU, but my question is who do they pair him up with? Like it’s not a “Justice Gang” show. What wildcard do you have to complement Terrific? Who do you bounce off of him for No. 02 on the call sheet?

Almost certainly the only time we’ll get to see someone direct a Marvel film, then a DC film, then another Marvel film, and then another DC film…

We’re finally getting old DC/ Marvel crossover comics reprinted and new DC/ Marvel crossover comics released…

It’s been nearly ten years, how has no one in Star Wars “it’s like poetry, it rhymes”-ed Kylo Ren to Lor San Tekka in THE FORCE AWAKENS, “look how old you’ve become”? That’s the most “it’s like poetry, it rhymes”-ready line of new dialogue from the Disney era of Lucasfilm.

I was mostly very satisfied with the conclusion of the #TheHighRepublic publishing initiative… but I can’t help but feel like the character Thaya Ferr had potential to go places, and then never went anywhere. I’d like to know what happened with her.
