Nowadays, shows struggle to produce 10 episodes in a season, but back in the 90s there was a slew of low budget shows that regularly produced 22-episode seasons and had big, practical stunt sequences. This is from The Sentinel, on UPN in 1996.

Question for the room: my 9-year-old son is becoming a Spider-Man fan. He digs the Tom Holland movies in particular. What should his first Spider-Man comic be?

Farewell to a Frequent Flier
The cast and crew of The Pitt debrief on season two’s most heartbreaking good-bye.
I read this amazing @roxana-hadadi.bsky.social deep dive into last night's #ThePitt as soon as I was done watching. You should, too. The amount of love and care The Pitt team puts into the show is why it's so great. It's the difference between art and "content":

Probably a tossup between Raye Hollitt (Zap on the original American Gladiators), fashion designer Jay McCarroll, and… me?
I grew up in rural northeastern Pennsylvania.

Meet the ‘Cabal’-Hating ‘Special Government Employee’ Involved in the Fulton County FBI Raid
Clay Parikh unloaded in a nearly two hour conversation with TPM.
This @hunterw.bsky.social story about his encounter with one of Trump's paranoid special agents is, in a word, gobsmacking. It includes a Ron Swanson reference that will make @kentremendous.bsky.social shake his head (at least.) If you don't already, support TPM talkingpointsmemo.com/news/meet-th...

If anyone in Los Angeles has 1964 or earlier Marvel Comics, particularly anything Kirby, and they’d be willing to loan them to me this weekend, please let me know. It’s for a small film I’m directing. Reader copies. Nothing slabbed. Thanks!

The entire point of the cartel threat is that the targets can’t be sure the government will keep them safe. But there may be no one safer in America than DHS agents! They’ve shot two people to death and had their bosses blame the deaths on the victims!

Chase Infiniti in One Battle After Another (2025).
I finally saw ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER in IMAX 70mm tonight at AMC Lincoln Sq. and it was a near-religious experience.
The car chase sequence is as authentically immersive as anything I've experienced in a movie theater.
It's playing Mon-Wed and worth the trip if you're anywhere near NYC. #FilmSky

The social relevance of the Turning Point USA half-time show in comparison to the Bad Bunny Super Bowl performance is roughly equivalent to the cultural footprint Allen & Rossi left when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show with The Beatles.

MASH is back on Hulu a month after they pulled it.
This is rare good news from a streaming service that's been on full retreat from 1960s and '70s TV in recent months. #TVSky #ClassicTV
