When I was on Ringer (RIP the CW), the network really wanted an “event” in every episode. Birthday parties, charity fundraisers, you name it, we did it!

Oh god, I didn’t even clock that. But my point stands!

Nowadays, shows struggle to produce 10 episodes in a season, but back in the 90s there was a slew of low budget shows that regularly produced 22-episode seasons and had big, practical stunt sequences. This is from The Sentinel, on UPN in 1996.

Question for the room: my 9-year-old son is becoming a Spider-Man fan. He digs the Tom Holland movies in particular. What should his first Spider-Man comic be?
