It showcases the history and culture of the Nuxalk First Nation from Bella Coola, B.C.

Read this on my flight home last night. An incredible page-turner but also filled with love and family connection. I highly recommend it if you’re on the hunt for a good read!

Two belongings from the HBC collection are part of the beautiful Nuxalk exhibition at MOA, and I was honoured to attend an incredible day of celebration for the opening. I love this part of my job.

2024 was a busy year at work, just did my final monthly tally and I responded to 188 public inquiries, 169 professional inquiries, gave 11 tours, and facilitated 37 collections visits for community members/artists/researchers. All this on top of my regular curatorial & collections mgmt duties.

It’s really awful. On my drive home yesterday I saw an elderly woman with a walker and not only was the sidewalk impassable, but the road was too.
